🧑 About Me
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I began my doctoral studies in September 2022 and expect to graduate in June 2027. Previously, I received my bachelor’s degree from Xidian University (Sep. 2018–Jun. 2022). During my undergraduate years, I received 10 national awards and more than 15 provincial- and ministerial-level awards. I also led two national innovation projects and obtained three software copyrights.
My research interests include multimodal large language models, parameter-efficient fine-tuning, Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures, and medical imaging. If you are interested in academic collaboration, please feel free to contact me at jackchenruan@sjtu.edu.cn.
My long-term collaborators at Shanghai Jiao Tong University include Suncheng Xiang, Mingye Xie, and Jingsheng Gao. Beyond these long-term collaborations, I have also built research and industry experience across several institutions. I was previously advised by Yu Cheng and Xiaoye Qu at Shanghai AI Lab. At the Shanghai Institute for Algorithmic Innovation, I worked under the guidance of Zhiyu Li. I also had the opportunity to work with Ye Guo at Xiaohongshu. During my time at ByteDance, I was fortunate to be mentored by De Cai, Fubang Zhao, and Yangyang Kang.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, unarmed fitness, music and guitar.
